बीमार, मुरझाने और दीमक लगने की वजह से कमजोर हो चुके पेड़ों का इलाज कर उन्हें पुर्नजीवित करने लिए पूर्वी निगम ने ट्री एम्बुलेंस की पहल शुरू की है। बताया गया कि किसी भी क्षेत्र में बीमार पेड़ की सूचना मिलने ये एम्बुलेंस उसका मुआयना करेगी और फिर पेड़ का बीमारी के अनुरूप इलाज किया जाएगा।
पूर्वी दिल्ली नगर निगम स्थायी समिति के चेयरमैन वीएस पंवार और उद्यान विभाग के निदेशक आरके सिंह ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि पेड़ों को पुर्नजीवित करने के लिए और पर्यावरण के बेहतरी के लिए पूर्वी निगम द्वारा एक नई पहल शुरू की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्रीय नागरिक कमजोर पेड़ों का इलाज कराने के लिए पूर्वी निगम ने एक हेल्प लाइन 155303 पर संपर्क कर सकते हैं। निगम के मालियों और चौधरियों को बीमार पेड़ों का इलाज के लिए विशेष प्रशिक्षण भी दिया गया है। निदेशक ने कहा कि जल्द ही दूसरी ट्री एम्बुलेंस भी शुरू कर दी जाएगी और पूर्वी निगम के दोनों जोनों में बीमार पेड़ों का उपचार करेंगी।
