Delhi ka muasam: दिल्ली में गुरुवार शाम को बादल छाए रहने और तेज हवाएं चलने से पारा सामान्य से तीन डिग्री नीचे 35.2 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक पहुंच गया, जिससे लोगों को भीषण गर्मी से कुछ राहत मिली। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) के अनुसार, शुक्रवार को भी अधिकतम तापमान 40 डिग्री से नीचे रहने का अनुमान है और अगले सप्ताह तक पारा फिर से बढ़कर 42 डिग्री सेल्सियस हो जाएगा। सफदरजंग वेधशाला ने बुधवार को अधिकतम तापमान 41.2 डिग्री सेल्सियस और मंगलवार को 42.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया था।

दिल्ली के 12 मौसम केंद्रों में से आठ ने मंगलवार को भीषण गर्मी की स्थिति देखी थी, जिसमें अधिकतम तापमान 43 डिग्री सेल्सियस से अधिक दर्ज किया गया था, जिससे यह मौसम का सबसे गर्म दिन बन गया। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में इस साल अप्रैल में आठ बार भीषण गर्मी की स्थिति रही, वहीं 2010 में इस महीने में 11 दिन भीषण गर्मी की स्थिति रही थी। मैदानी इलाकों में अधिकतम तापमान 40 डिग्री सेल्सियस से अधिक और सामान्य से कम से कम 4.5 डिग्री अधिक होने पर लू की घोषणा की जाती है। आईएमडी के अनुसार, यदि तापमान सामान्य से 6.4 डिग्री अधिक रहता है, तो इसे गंभीर भीषण गर्मी घोषित किया जाता है। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में 21 अप्रैल, 2017 को अधिकतम तापमान 43.2 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था। 29 अप्रैल, 1941 को महीने का सर्वाधिक अधिकतम तापमान 45.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस था। मौसम विभाग ने पहले कहा था कि उत्तर पश्चिम भारत और मध्य भारत के आसपास के हिस्सों में अप्रैल में अधिक तीव्र और लगातार भीषण गर्मी की स्थिति रहने की संभावना है।
