नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली परिवहन विभाग इस साल अब तक 50 लाख से अधिक वाहनों का पंजीकरण रद्द कर चुका है। आधिकारिक आकंड़ों में यह जानकारी दी गई है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जिन वाहनों का पंजीकरण रद्द किया गया है, उनमें 10 साल से अधिक पुराने डीजल और 15 साल से ज्यादा पुराने पेट्रोल वाहन शामिल हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि एक साल में वाहनों का पंजीकरण रद्द करने की यह सबसे बड़ी संख्या है।
आंकड़ों के अनुसार 2018 से 2022 के बीच 53,38,045 वाहनों का पंजीकरण रद्द किया गया था। इस साल 17 अक्टूबर तक 50,25,447 वाहनों का पंजीकरण रद्द किया जा चुका है। साल 2018 में, उच्चतम न्यायालय ने दिल्ली में क्रमशः 10 साल और 15 साल से पुराने डीजल व पेट्रोल वाहनों के इस्तेमाल पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का आदेश दिया था।
