दिल्ली नगर निगम (एमसीडी) चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के करोड़पति उम्मीदवारों की संख्या सर्वाधिक हैं। ‘एसोसिएशन फॉर डेमोक्रेटिक रिफॉर्म्स’ (एडीआर) की एक रिपोर्ट में यह दावा किया गया है। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार शीर्ष तीन सबसे अमीर उम्मीदवारों में से दो भाजपा से और आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) से एक हैं। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार ‘आप’ के तीन उम्मीदवारों पर सबसे अधिक देनदारी है, जबकि दो निर्दलीय उम्मीदवारों ने शून्य संपत्ति घोषित की है। एक अन्य निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार, कांग्रेस के एक उम्मीदवार और बहुजन समाज पार्टी (बसपा) के एक उम्मीदवार के पास सबसे कम संपत्ति है। इसमें कहा गया है कि भाजपा के 249 उम्मीदवारों में से 162 (65 प्रतिशत), ‘आप’ के 248 उम्मीदवारों में से 148 (60 प्रतिशत) और कांग्रेस के 245 उम्मीदवारों में से 107 (44 प्रतिशत) ने एक करोड़ रुपये से अधिक संपत्ति की घोषणा की है।
रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि इस बार चुनाव लड़ने वाले प्रति उम्मीदवार की औसत संपत्ति 2.27 करोड़ रुपये है। वर्ष 2017 के निकाय चुनावों में, 2,315 उम्मीदवारों के लिए प्रति उम्मीदवार औसत संपत्ति 1.61 करोड़ रुपये थी। इसके अनुसार 79-बल्लीमारान वार्ड से चुनाव लड़ रहे भाजपा के राम देव शर्मा ने कुल 66 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति घोषित की है। 149-मालवीय नगर वार्ड से पार्टी का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही नंदिनी शर्मा ने 49.84 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति घोषित की है, जबकि 248-करावल नगर से ‘आप’ उम्मीदवार जितेंद्र बंसाला ने अपने हलफनामे में 48.27 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति घोषित की है।
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 643 (48 प्रतिशत) उम्मीदवारों ने देनदारी घोषित की है। शीर्ष 10 सबसे अमीर उम्मीदवारों में कांग्रेस का कोई उम्मीदवार नहीं है, जबकि भाजपा के पांच उम्मीदवार, ‘आप’ के तीन उम्मीदवार और दो निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार हैं। इस साल चार दिसंबर को होने वाले एमसीडी चुनाव में 1,349 उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं। मतगणना सात दिसंबर को होगी।
