कांग्रेस के सदस्यों ने सोमवार को एक बार फिर चीन के अतिक्रमण के मुद्दे पर राज्यसभा में चर्चा कराने की मांग की और इसकी अनुमति नहीं मिलने पर सदन से वाकआउट किया। विपक्ष के नेता मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने शून्यकाल के दौरान चीन के अतिक्रमण के मामले को उठाते हुए कहा कि सभापति को निर्देश पर नियमों को स्थगित कर इस विषय पर चर्चा कराई जा सकती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि चीन के अतिक्रमण का मामला बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। चीन पुल, मकान, कारखाने तथा अन्य निर्माण कार्य कर रहा है। सदन के नेता पीयूष गोयल ने खड़गे का विरोध करते हुए कहा कि किसी भी व्यक्ति को अपनी गरिमा नहीं गिरानी चाहिए। इस सदन में बार-बार चीन के मुद्दे पर चर्चा की मांग की जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2012 में कांग्रेस के एक मंत्री ने स्वीकार किया था कि चीन 38000 किलोमीटर भारतीय भू भाग पर कब्जा किए हुए है।
सभापति जगदीप धनखड़ ने नियमों के तहत मुद्दों को उठाने पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि विपक्ष के नेता के कार्यालय को नियमों को ठीक ढंग से पढ़ना चाहिए। इसके बाद श्री खड़गे अपनी सीट से जोर-जोर से बोलने लगे। इसी दौरान कांग्रेस के अन्य सदस्य भी अपनी सीट के निकट खड़े होकर जोर-जोर से बोलने लगे। सभापति ने इसी दौरान शून्यकाल की कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी । इसके साथ ही कांग्रेस और कुछ अन्य दलों के सदस्य नारेबाजी करने लगे तथा चर्चा की अनुमति नहीं मिलने के विरोध में सदन से वाकआउट कर गए।
