पश्चिमी दिल्ली के सुभाष नगर इलाके में एक बहुमंजिला पार्किंग स्थल में सोमवार आग लगने से 20 कार जलकर खाक हो गईं। यह जानकारी पुलिस ने दी। पुलिस ने बताया कि यह आग तक लगी जब 23 वर्ष के एक युवक ने एक व्यक्ति से बदला लेने के लिए उसके वाहन में कथित रूप से आग लगा दी। दमकल अधिकारियों ने कहा कि एमसीडी पार्किंग स्थल के भूमिगत तल में आग लगने की सूचना सुबह करीब चार बजे मिली और दमकल की सात गाड़ियों को मौके पर भेजा गया। दमकल विभाग के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि आग पर सुबह छह बजकर 10 मिनट पर काबू पा लिया गया। उन्होंने बताया कि इस घटना में किसी के हताहत होने की जानकारी नहीं है।
सीसीटीवी फुटेज की मदद से आरोपी की पहचान सुभाष नगर निवासी यश अरोड़ा के रूप में की गई और उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पुलिस ने कहा कि अरोड़ा ने कार में आग लगाने का फैसला इसलिए किया क्योंकि वह आरोपी के परिवार के सदस्यों में से एक के साथ अपने संबंधों को लेकर कार के मालिक से नाराज था। पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने कहा, ”पूछताछ के दौरान उसने पुलिस को बताया कि उसकी एक अर्टिगा कार के मालिक से निजी दुश्मनी थी और उससे बदला लेने के लिए अरोड़ा ने पार्किंग स्थल में खड़ी कार को जला दिया।” अधिकारी ने कहा कि मामले में आगे जांच की जा रही है।
पुलिस अधिकारी ने कहा कि घटना के संबंध में, भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 436 और 427 एवं संबंधित धाराओं में एक मामला दर्ज किया गया है। दिल्ली अग्निशमन सेवा के निदेशक अतुल गर्ग ने कहा, 20 कार में से 14 की पंजीकरण संख्या का पता लगा लिया गया। आग से क्षतिग्रस्त होने के कारण शेष वाहनों की पंजीकरण संख्या की पहचान नहीं की जा सकी। राजौरी गार्डन थाने के अधिकारियों को आग लगने की सूचना सुबह करीब साढ़े चार बजे मिली। एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी ने कहा, पार्किंग स्थल के भूमिगत तल में 20 कार जली हुई पाई गईं, जिनमें से कुछ वाहन पूरी तरह से नष्ट हो गए थे।
अधिकारी ने कहा, जब एमसीडी पार्किंग में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरे की जांच की गई तो एक व्यक्ति अर्टिगा कार के टायर में आग लगाते देखा गया और उसके बाद खड़ी अन्य कारों में भी आग लग गई। आरोपी को सफेद रंग की होंडा सीआरवी कार में आते देखा गया और घटना के बाद वह उसी वाहन से वहां से चला गया। पुलिस ने कहा कि उन्होंने सीसीटीवी फुटेज की मदद से आरोपी का पता लगाया और बाद में उसे पकड़ लिया गया।
