रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने शनिवार को कहा कि भारत का रक्षा निर्यात वित्त वर्ष 2022-23 में 15,920 करोड़ रुपये पर पहुंच गया, जो अब तक सर्वाधिक है। उन्होंने इस वृद्धि को उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि बताया। आधिकारिक आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 2021-22 में देश का रक्षा निर्यात 12,814 करोड़ रुपये था। सिंह ने ट्विटर पर कहा, भारत का रक्षा निर्यात वित्त वर्ष 2022-23 में 15,920 करोड़ रुपये के सर्वाधिक स्तर पर पहुंच गया। यह देश के लिए उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धि है।
उन्होंने कहा, ”प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के प्रेरणादायक नेतृत्व में हमारा रक्षा निर्यात तेजी से बढ़ता रहेगा। सिंह द्वारा उपलब्ध कराई गई जानकारी के मुताबिक, भारत ने 2020-21 में 8,434 करोड़ रुपये, 2019-20 में 9,115 करोड़ रुपये और 2018-19 में 10,745 करोड़ रुपये के सैन्य हार्डवेयर का निर्यात किया था। 2017-18 में देश का कुल रक्षा निर्यात 4,682 करोड़ रुपये और 2016-17 में 1,521 करोड़ रुपये का था। केंद्र सरकार ने 2024-25 तक 1,75,000 करोड़ रुपये के रक्षा हार्डवेयर के उत्पादन के साथ ही रक्षा निर्यात को 35,000 करोड़ रुपये तक ले जाने का लक्ष्य तय किया है। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में सरकार ने घरेलू रक्षा उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कई कदम उठाए हैं।
