दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने दिल्ली सरकार और दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे बोर्ड के कर्मचारियों के छह महीने से लंबित वेतन का दो सप्ताह के भीतर भुगतान करें। दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड कर्मचारी संघ की याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए कहा कि आदेश का अनुपालन नहीं होने पर वह 18 अप्रैल को होने वाली अगली सुनवाई के दौरान ‘प्रतिकूल आदेश’ पारित कर सकता है।
कर्मचारी संघ और बोर्ड के एक कर्मचारी ने इस साल की शुरुआत में अदालत का रुख किया था और दावा किया था कि पिछले साल अक्टूबर से उन्हें वेतन का भुगतान नहीं किए जाने की वजह से ”वे आर्थिक संकट के दौर’ से गुजर रहे हैं। न्यायमूर्ति ज्योति सिंह द्वारा 27 मार्च को पारित आदेश में कहा गया, प्रतिवादियों (दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड, बोर्ड के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी, दिल्ली सरकार के संभागीय आयुक्त सह राजस्व सचिव) को निर्देश दिया जाता है कि वे सुनिश्चित करें कि वादी संख्या एक के सदस्य कर्मचारियों के साथ वादी संख्या दो के सभी बकाये का आज से दो सप्ताह के भीतर भुगतान किया जाए। ऐसा नहीं होने पर अदालत अगली सुनवाई में प्रतिकूल आदेश पारित करने को विवश होगी।
