कांग्रेस ने दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के सरकारी आवास के नवीनीकरण पर लगभग 45 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जाने को लेकर बृहस्पतिवार को उन पर तीखा प्रहार किया और कहा कि केजरीवाल का यह कदम शर्मनाक और मतदाताओं के गाल पर तमाचा है। पार्टी के मीडिया एवं प्रचार प्रमुख पवन खेड़ा ने संवाददाताओं से कहा, आप (केजरीवाल) खुद को आम आदमी कहते हैं। अब तो खैर कोई आम आदमी मानता नहीं है। कोविड के समय जब दिल्ली में त्राहि-त्राहि मची हुई थी तब आपने 45 करोड़ रुपये अपने आवास पर खर्च कर दिए। ये होती है आम आदमी की सरकार? ये चौंकाने वाला तथ्य है।
उन्होंने कहा, हम इससे हैरान नहीं हैं क्योंकि हम इनकी असलियत जानते थे। यह कैसी आम आदमी की सरकार है जो अपने सादगी के ढोल-नगाड़े पीटती थी? खेड़ा ने कहा, एक मुख्यमंत्री के बंगले पर 45 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होना शर्मनाक है। वोटर के गाल पर तमाचा मार रहे हैं। इससे कम कुछ नहीं है। मीडिया में आई खबरों के मुताबिक, कुल 44.78 करोड़ रुपये सिविल लाइंस में छह-फ्लैगस्टाफ रोड पर स्थित केजरीवाल के सरकारी आवास के अतिरिक्त निर्माण या बदलाव” पर खर्च किए गए। दस्तावेजों के मुताबिक, यह राशि नौ सितंबर, 2020 से जून, 2022 के बीच छह किस्तों में खर्च की गई।
