दिल्ली सरकार के आबकारी विभाग ने कोविड-19 महामारी से प्रभावित शराब के थोक विक्रेताओं और रेस्तरां जैसे प्रतिष्ठानों के लिए लाइसेंस अवधि दो महीने के लिए बढ़ा दी है। आबकारी विभाग ने दो आदेशों में कहा कि अलग-अलग श्रेणियों में आने वाले लाइसेंसधारी विस्तारित अवधि के लिए आनुपातिक आधार पर भुगतान कर सकते हैं। गौरतलब है कि नई आबकारी नीति के तहत वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 के लिए थोक और खुदरा शराब बिक्री की विभिन्न श्रेणियों में लाइसेंस जारी किए गए थे।
इन लाइसेंस की अवधि 31 मार्च को समाप्त होती है, जिसके बाद इनका नवीनीकरण कराना होता है। विभाग ने आदेश में कहा लाइसेंसधारकों के लिए आबकारी नीति 2021-22 को आनुपातिक आधार या 15 मार्च से पहले भुगतान करने की स्थिति में दो महीने तक बढ़ाने का फैसला किया गया है। दिल्ली में कोविड की तीसरी लहर के कारण शराब की दुकानों के साथ-साथ शराब परोसने वाले बार और रेस्तरां को बंद करने का आदेश दिया गया था और जनवरी के मध्य में प्रतिबंध लगाए गए थे।
