दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल वी.के. सक्सेना ने कथित तौर पर आरक्षण के संवैधानिक प्रावधानों का उल्लंघन करने पर दिल्ली सरकार की ओर से नियुक्त 400 लोगों की सेवाएं सोमवार को समाप्त कर दीं। उपराज्यपाल कार्यालय के सूत्रों ने बताया कि हटाए गए कर्मचारी 23 विभागों, स्वायत्त निकायों और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रम (पीएसयू) में कार्यरत थे। कर्मचारियों को फेलो, एसोसिएट फेलो, सलाहकार, उप सलाहकार, विशेषज्ञ, वरिष्ठ अनुसंधान अधिकारी और सलाहकार के तौर पर नियुक्त किया गया था।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार इन नियुक्तियों में अनुसूचित जाति, अनुसूचित जनजाति और अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी) के लिए आरक्षण के संवैधानिक प्रावधानों का कथित तौर पर उल्लंघन करके ये नियुक्तियां की गईं। सूत्रों ने कहा कि कर्मचारियों को पिछले दरवाजे से नियुक्त किया गया था और उनके पास आवश्यक योग्यता या अनुभव नहीं था। सूत्रों के मुताबिक 45 दिनों या उससे अधिक समय तक चलने वाली सभी अस्थायी नियुक्तियों में एससी/एसटी/ओबीसी के लिए आरक्षण के प्रावधानों का पालन किया जाना चाहिए। सूत्रों बताया कि दिल्ली सरकार की ओर से ऐसे सभी मामलों में 45 दिनों से अधिक के लिए अस्थायी नियुक्तियाँ दी गईं, जो एससी, एसटी और ओबीसी के अधिकारों का खुला उल्लंघन करते हैं।
