गुजरात के सूरत जिले में स्थित एक रासायनिक गोदाम में जहरीले धुएं की वजह से चार मजदूरों की मौत हो गई। पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी। कोसांबा थाने के निरीक्षक जेए बरोट ने बताया कि यह घटना मांगरोल तहसील के मोटा बोरसारा गांव में उस वक्त हुई, जब पांच मजदूर रसायनों के ड्रम को एक जगह से हटाकर दूसरी जगह पर रख रहे थे। अधिकारी ने बताया कि गोदाम के मालिक को हिरासत में ले लिया गया है और उसके खिलाफ भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 304 (गैर इरादतन हत्या) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया जा रहा है। मृतकों की पहचान इम्तियाज पटेल (45), अमीन पटेल (22), वरुण वसावा (22) और राघा राम (54) के रूप में हुई। अधिकारी ने कहा, पांच में से एक मजदूर ने ड्रम का ढक्कन खोल दिया और इससे निकले जहरीला धुएं की वजह से पांचों वहीं बेहोश हो गए। अन्य मजदूरों ने उन्हें आनन-फानन में पास के ही एक अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया, जिनमें से चार की कुछ देर बाद मौत हो गई, हालांकि पांचवा मजदूर सुरक्षित है।
