नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन से पांच वर्षीय लड़के का अपहरण करने के आरोप में 34 साल के एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया गया। दिल्ली पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि बुधवार को दिल्ली आई ओडिशा निवासी एक महिला ने अपने बेटे के नयी दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन से लापता होने की सूचना दी थी। वह सुबह इंदौर से कटक के लिए ट्रेन पकड़ने आई थी।
पुलिस उपायुक्त (रेलवे) अपूर्व गुप्ता ने बताया कि महिला अपने तीन बच्चों के साथ प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर छह-सात पर इंतजार कर रही थी, तभी उसका सबसे छोटा बच्चा लापता हो गया या संभवत: किसी ने उसका अपहरण कर लिया। उन्होंने कहा कि शुक्रवार की सुबह पुलिस को मिली सूचना के आधार पर कार्रवाई करते हुए उसने श्री शक्ति एक्सप्रेस से उप्र के हाथरस निवासी विकास वर्मा नाम के एक व्यक्ति को पकड़ा। पुलिस ने बताया कि वर्मा ने पहले लड़के को कुछ खाने का सामान देकर उससे दोस्ती की और फिर उसे लेकर गायब हो गया।
