दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने शनिवार को कहा कि अगर कोई ‘राम राज्य’ की कल्पना करता है तो उसमें सभी को अच्छी और नि:शुल्क शिक्षा तथा स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सुविधाएं मिलनी चाहिए। यहां एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि सभी को अच्छी शिक्षा तथा स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सुविधाएं मिलनी चाहिए और आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) नीत दिल्ली सरकार इस दिशा में काम करने का प्रयास कर रही है।
उन्होंने शनिवार को दिल्ली सरकार के अरुणा आसफ अली अस्पताल की नयी ओपीडी (बाह्य रोग विभाग) इमारत का उद्घाटन किया और वहां मरीजों से बातचीत भी की। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार का ध्यान स्वास्थ्य देखभाल और शिक्षा पर केंद्रित है और बड़े पैमाने पर विस्तार किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार के सभी अस्पतालों में अभी करीब 10,000 बिस्तर हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 11 नए अस्पताल बनाए जा रहे हैं और पुराने अस्पतालों में बुनियादी ढांचे को उन्नत किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि अस्पतालों में 16,000 और बिस्तर उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे।
आगामी दशहरा और दीपावली उत्सव के संदर्भ में दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, ”हम भगवान राम की पूजा करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा, ”राम राज्य की बात की जा रही है। मैं कह नहीं सकता कि हम ‘राम राज्य’ के करीब पहुंच सकते हैं। लेकिन अगर हम ‘राम राज्य’ की कल्पना करते हैं तो उसमें सभी को अच्छी और नि:शुल्क शिक्षा तथा स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सुविधाएं मिलनी चाहिए। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अच्छी शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सुविधाएं सभी को उपलब्ध होनी चाहिए भले ही वे अमीर हो या गरीब और ”हमारी सरकार उस दिशा में काम करने का प्रयास कर रही है। इस कार्यक्रम में दिल्ली के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सौरभ भारद्वाज और स्वास्थ्य विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे।
