नई दिल्ली। उच्चतम न्यायालय प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के खिलाफ कथित आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी मामले में कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा की उस अपील पर सोमवार को सुनवाई करेगा, जिसमें उन्होंने (खेड़ा ने) अपने विरुद्ध आपराधिक कार्यवाही रद्द करने से इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय के इनकार को चुनौती दी है। न्यायमूर्ति बी. आर. गवई और न्यायमूर्ति प्रशांत कुमार मिश्रा की पीठ याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगी। यह मामला 13 अक्टूबर को भी सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध किया गया था, लेकिन खेड़ा के वकील द्वारा कुछ अतिरिक्त दस्तावेज दाखिल करने के लिए समय मांगने के बाद इसे स्थगित कर दिया गया था। उच्च न्यायालय ने 17 अगस्त को खेड़ा की याचिका को यह कहते हुए खारिज कर दिया था कि मामले के जांच अधिकारी द्वारा एकत्र किए गए सबूतों का मूल्यांकन मामले को रद्द करने के लिए सीआरपीसी की धारा 482 के तहत दायर याचिका में नहीं किया जा सकता है।
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के खिलाफ कथित रूप से आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी करने को लेकर कांग्रेस नेता खेड़ा के खिलाफ असम और उत्तर प्रदेश में दर्ज तीन प्राथमिकी को 20 मार्च को एक साथ मिला दिया था और इन्हें उत्तर प्रदेश में लखनऊ के हजरतगंज थाने में स्थानांतरित कर दिया था। न्यायालय ने खेड़ा की अंतरिम जमानत को भी बढ़ा दिया था। इस मामले में लखनऊ की अदालत ने उन्हें जमानत दे दी थी। कथित टिप्पणी के लिए खेड़ा ने अदालत में बिना शर्त माफी मांगी है। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता खेड़ा को 17 फरवरी को मुंबई में संवाददाता सम्मेलन के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री के खिलाफ की गई उनकी कथित टिप्पणी के संबंध में असम पुलिस ने 23 फरवरी को गिरफ्तार किया था।
