नई दिल्ली। वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने शनिवार को कहा कि सरकार के सामने फिलहाल गेहूं, चावल और चीनी के निर्यात पर लगी पाबंदियां हटाने का कोई भी प्रस्ताव नहीं है। गोयल ने यहां संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में कहा कि भारत का गेहूं और चीनी के आयात का भी कोई इरादा नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा, गेहूं, चावल और चीनी पर निर्यात प्रतिबंध हटाने का फिलहाल कोई प्रस्ताव नहीं है। इसके साथ ही भारत गेहूं और चीनी का आयात नहीं करेगा। भारत ने घरेलू स्तर पर बढ़ती कीमतों पर काबू पाने के लिए मई, 2022 में गेहूं के निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया था।
इसके बाद जुलाई, 2023 से गैर-बासमती चावल के निर्यात पर भी प्रतिबंध लगा हुआ है। सरकार ने अक्टूबर, 2023 में चीनी के निर्यात पर भी रोक लगाने का आदेश जारी कर दिया था। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि गेहूं और चीनी के आयात की ”न तो कोई योजना है और न ही इसकी कोई जरूरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत गैर-बासमती चावल के निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के बावजूद अपने मित्र देशों को उनकी खाद्य सुरक्षा जरूरतों के लिए चावल उपलब्ध करा रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि भारत ने इंडोनेशिया, सेनेगल और गाम्बिया जैसे देशों को चावल उपलब्ध कराया है।
