उत्तर-पूर्व दिल्ली के वेलकम इलाके में एक इमारत ढह जाने से एक जींस कारखाने के दो कर्मचारियों की मौत हो गई, वहीं एक अन्य घायल हो गया। पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी। जींस कारखाने के तीनों कर्मचारी दो मंजिला इमारत के भूतल पर काम कर रहे थे। पुलिस उपायुक्त (उत्तर पूर्व) जॉय टिर्की ने बताया, ‘देर रात 2.16 बजे दो मंजिला इमारत के गिर जाने की सूचना मिली। यह एक पुरानी इमारत थी।’
उन्होंने कहा कि इस भवन की पहली मंजिल खाली थी और भूतल पर जींस का कपड़ा काटने का काम हो रहा था। एक अन्य अधिकारी ने कहा, ‘मलबे में दबे तीन कर्मचारियों को बाहर निकाला गया और जीटीबी अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया जहां उनमें से दो को मृत घोषित कर दिया गया।’ मृतकों की पहचान अरशद (30) और तौहीद (20) के रूप में की गई है। घायल रेहान (22) का इलाज जीटीबी अस्पताल में किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘इमारत के मालिक की पहचान शाहिद के रूप में की गई है। उसका पता लगाने के प्रयास जारी हैं।’ पुलिस ने कहा कि मामले में कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
