उत्तर-पूर्वी दिल्ली में स्थित न्यू उस्मानपुर इलाके में अज्ञात हमलावरों ने एक रेस्तरां के 32 वर्षीय मालिक की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। पुलिस ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी। रेस्तरां मालिक संजय सिंह जब मंगलवार और बुधवार की मध्यरात्रि को रेस्तरां से लौट रहे थे तो उस दौरान हमलावरों ने उनके घर के पास हमला कर दिया। सिंह पर हत्या का एक मामला दर्ज है। एक पुलिस अधिकारी ने बताया कि सिंह के एक दोस्त ने उन्हें सड़क पर घायल स्थिति में पड़े हुए देखा और उनके छोटे भाई नितिन को इस बारे में जानकारी दी। नितिन एक डेयरी का मालिक है। अधिकारी ने बताया कि सूचना मिलते ही नितिन घटनास्थल पर पहुंचा और सिंह को हनुमान मंदिर वाली गली के पास खून से लथपथ पाया।
पुलिस के अनुसार, सिंह के सिर, दाहिने कंधे, कोहनी और पेट में चोट लगी थी। उन्हें जग प्रवेश चंद्र अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन वहां डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। पुलिस ने कहा कि घटनास्थल पर सात कारतूस के खोखे, 7.65 मिमी का एक कारतूस सहित अन्य आपत्तिजनक सामान बरामद हुआ है। एक अन्य अधिकारी ने बताया कि सिंह के खिलाफ रविंदर नाम के एक व्यक्ति की हत्या का मामला दर्ज था। दोनों एक ही इलाके में रहते थे। अधिकारी ने कहा, पुलिस सिंह की हत्या करने वालों की पहचान करने के प्रयास कर रही है। इलाके में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाली जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस मामले से जुड़े सभी पहलुओं पर जांच की जाएगी।
