पीएम मोदी के इस बयान के बाद से भाजपा और उनके कार्यकर्ताओं ने कांग्रेस के घोषणा पत्र को लेकर जमकर विरोध शुरू कर दिया। जगह-जगह भाजपाइयों कांग्रेस की तीखी आलोचना की। बुधवार को भी पीएम मोदी के मंगलसूत्र वाले बयान के बाद भाजपा महिला मोर्चा की महामंत्री प्रियल भारद्वाज भाजपा कार्यकर्ताओं संग कांग्रेस के घोषणा पत्र पर अपना विरोध जताने पहुंचे। यहां सुरक्षा बलों से इनकी जमकर रस्साकसी हुई।
