आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) ने अपने नेता एवं राज्यसभा सदस्य संदीप पाठक को पार्टी का राष्ट्रीय महासचिव (संगठन) नियुक्त किया है। पाठक पंजाब और गुजरात विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए पार्टी के प्रभारी थे। गुजरात में मिले मतों के आधार पर ही पार्टी, राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा हासिल करने योग्य बनी है। पार्टी के आधिकारिक ट्विटर खाते पर इस संबंध में घोषणा करते हुए लिखा गया, पार्टी संदीप पाठक को राष्ट्रीय संगठन महामंत्री नियुक्त करती है। वह ‘आप’ के राजनीतिक मामलों की समिति (पीएसी) के स्थायी आमंत्रित सदस्य भी होंगे। नई भूमिका के लिए आपको शुभकामनाएं। पार्टी से जुड़े सूत्रों ने बताया कि 2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर यह नियुक्ति की गई है। निर्वाचन प्रतीक (आरक्षण एवं आबंटन) आदेश के प्रावधानों का हवाला देते हुए निर्वाचन आयोग के एक पूर्व अधिकारी ने कहा कि एक पार्टी को एक राष्ट्रीय पार्टी बनने के लिए चार राज्यों में राज्य पार्टी का दर्जा चाहिए होता है।
‘आप’ दिल्ली, गोवा और पंजाब में पहले ही राज्य स्तर की पार्टी का दर्जा हासिल कर चुकी थी। दिल्ली और पंजाब में ‘आप’ की ही सरकार है। अधिकारी ने कहा कि किसी भी पार्टी को राज्य स्तर की पार्टी का दर्जा हासिल करने के लिए आठ प्रतिशत वोट की जरूरत होती है। दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल नीत ‘आप’ ने गुजरात विधानसभा चुनाव में 181 सीट में से केवल पांच सीट पर जीत दर्ज की थी, लेकिन उसे कुल मतों के करीब 13 प्रतिशत मत मिले थे। ‘आप’ के संयोजक केजरीवाल ने कहा था कि पार्टी ने ज्यादा सीट नहीं जीतीं, लेकिन पार्टी को मिले मतों ने उसे राष्ट्रीय पार्टी का दर्जा दिलाने में मदद की है।
