दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) सरकार ने उपराज्यपाल वी. के. सक्सेना द्वारा मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की प्रस्तावित सिंगापुर यात्रा को खारिज करने को लेकर बृहस्पतिवार को केंद्र पर निशाना साधते हुए दावा किया कि इससे देश और शहर का अपमान हुआ है। दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल ने पिछले हफ्ते केजरीवाल की विदेश यात्रा के प्रस्ताव को वापस कर दिया था और उन्हें अगले महीने सिंगापुर में विश्व शहरों के शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग नहीं लेने की सलाह दी थी क्योंकि यह महापौरों का सम्मेलन है और इसमें शामिल होना मुख्यमंत्री के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं होगा।
मुख्यमंत्री की सिंगापुर यात्रा के लिए केंद्र की अनुमति मांगे जाने संबंधी फाइल सात जून को उपराज्यपाल को भेजी गई थी। उन्होंने 21 जुलाई को फाइल लौटा दी। ‘आप’ सरकार ने एक बयान में कहा, ”इसमें न केवल बहुत अधिक देरी हुई, बल्कि यात्रा की औपचारिकताएं पूरी करने की 20 जुलाई की अंतिम तिथि भी बीत चुकी है। इसमें कहा गया है कि क्योंकि मुख्यमंत्री नहीं जा पा रहे हैं और केंद्र को इसके लिए दोषी ठहराया जाना चाहिए।
