आबकारी नीति मामले में केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (CBI) द्वारा दिल्ली के उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया को गिरफ्तार किए जाने के खिलाफ आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के विरोध-प्रदर्शन के आह्वान के मद्देनजर सोमवार सुबह यहां दीन दयाल उपाध्याय (डीडीयू) मार्ग पर सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई। पुलिस के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि मध्य दिल्ली में डीडीयू मार्ग पर कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की गई है, जहां भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) और ‘आप’ दोनों का मुख्यालय स्थित है। शहर के मध्य हिस्से में दिन के समय यातायात प्रभावित होने की भी आशंका है।
‘आप’ के वरिष्ठ नेता गोपाल राय ने कहा कि पार्टी इस दिन को “काला दिवस” के रूप में चिन्हित करेगी और सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी के खिलाफ देशभर में विरोध-प्रदर्शन करेगी। उन्होंने कहा, हम दिल्ली में दोपहर 12 बजे भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय कार्यालय के पास धरना देंगे। सीबीआई ने रविवार को सिसोदिया को शराब की बिक्री से संबंधित आबकारी नीति में कथित भ्रष्टाचार के सिलसिले में गिरफ्तार किया था। यह नीति अब रद्द की जा चुकी है। पुलिस ने रविवार को सीबीआई कार्यालय के पास प्रदर्शन कर रहे ‘आप’ सांसद संजय सिंह और मंत्री गोपाल राय सहित 50 लोगों को भी हिरासत में लिया था।
