ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बनीस आठ मार्च से चार दिन की भारत यात्रा करेंगे, जिसका मकसद व्यापार, निवेश और महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों सहित कई क्षेत्रों में समग्र द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को बढ़ावा देना है। पिछले साल मई में प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद यह उनकी पहली भारत यात्रा होगी। विदेश मंत्रालय (एमईए) ने शनिवार को कहा, “प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के निमंत्रण पर, ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बनीस आठ से 11 मार्च तक भारत की राजकीय यात्रा करेंगे। अल्बनीस के साथ व्यापार एवं पर्यटन मंत्री डॉन फैरेल और संसाधन एवं उत्तरी ऑस्ट्रेलिया मामले की मंत्री मेडेलीन किंग के अलावा एक उच्च-स्तरीय व्यापार प्रतिनिधिमंडल भी भारत आएगा। विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा कि अल्बनीस होली के दिन आठ मार्च को अहमदाबाद पहुंचेंगे।
इसके बाद वह नौ मार्च को मुंबई जाएंगे और फिर उसी दिन दिल्ली आएंगे। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री का 10 मार्च को राष्ट्रपति भवन के प्रांगण में रस्मी स्वागत किया जाएगा। इसके बाद मोदी और अल्बनीस वार्षिक शिखर वार्ता करेंगे, जिसमें भारत-ऑस्ट्रेलिया व्यापक रणनीतिक साझेदारी के तहत सहयोग के क्षेत्रों पर चर्चा की जाएगी। साथ ही दोनों आपसी हित से जुड़े क्षेत्रीय एवं वैश्विक मुद्दों पर भी विचार विमर्श करेंगे। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच संबंध प्रगाढ़ हुए हैं। जून 2020 में दोनों देशों के बीच रणनीतिक साझेदारी को व्यापक रणनीतिक साझेदारी में बदल दिया गया। विदेश मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा, “प्रधानमंत्री अल्बनीस की यात्रा से व्यापक रणनीतिक साझेदारी को और गति मिलने की उम्मीद है।
