इस विभाग का अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभाल रहीं निहारिका राय को कार्यमुक्त कर दिया गया है। इसके अनुसार, 1994 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी नवीन कुमार चौधरी को तीन सरकारी विभागों का प्रभार दिया गया है। उन्हें प्रमुख सचिव (सिंचाई एवं बाढ़ नियंत्रण) के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है और उनके पास प्रमुख सचिव (सामान्य प्रशासन) सहित दो अतिरिक्त प्रभार भी होंगे। इसके अलावा, 2011 बैच की अधिकारी मिताली नामचूम निदेशक (महिला एवं बाल विकास) का कार्यभार संभालेंगी। कृष्ण कुमार को प्रधान सचिव (लोक निर्माण विभाग) नियुक्त किया गया है। पंकज कुमार दो अतिरिक्त प्रभार के साथ प्रमुख सचिव (लोक निर्माण विभाग) का प्रभार संभाल रहे थे। उनके पास उपायुक्त (मुख्यालय) समेत अन्य प्रभार रहेंगे।
