अप्रैल में होने वाले दिल्ली MCD चुनाव को लेकर राजनीतिक दलों के साथ-साथ आयोग ने भी तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं। कोरोना केस में कमी को देखते हुए आयोग ने अहम फैसला लिया है। आयोग ने चुनाव से पहले हर बूथ पर 100-100 वोटर बढ़ा दिए हैं। पहले हर बूथ पर वोटरों की संख्या 1,250 निश्चित की गई थी जो अब बढ़ाकर 1,350 कर दी गई है।
कोरोना के मामलों में कमी आने के बाद राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग ने दिल्ली में एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर फैसला लिया है। आयोग ने अब हर बूथ पर 1250 की जगह 1350 वोटर करने का फैसला किया है। इस फैसले के बाद अब हर बूथ पर वोटरों की संख्या बढ़ गई है। वहीं इसके कारण बूथों की संख्या में 500 की कमी आएगी। आयोग के अधिकारियों की मानें तो चुनाव के दौरान मैन पॉवर भी एक अहम मुद्दा है। पोलिंग बूथों की संख्या बढ़ने पर मैनपावर में इजाफा करना पड़ता। हर बूथ पर वोटरों की संख्या बढ़ाने के लिए उसको भी एक अहम कारण माना जा रहा है।
राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग के सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी की मानें तो अप्रैल से मई के बीच दिल्ली एमसीडी चुनाव (Delhi MCD Election) हो सकता है। ज्यादातर कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि चुनाव मध्य अप्रैल से शुरू होगा। लेकिन 14 अप्रैल को महावीर (Mahavira) जयंती और 15 अप्रैल को गुड फ्राइडे (Good Friday) की छुट्टी है। हालांकि माना जा रहा है कि चुनाव एक महीने पहले इसके लिए नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया जाएगा। ऐसे में होली के आसपास दिल्ली एमसीडी चुनाव की घोषणा हो सकती है।
