उल्लेखनीय है कि आरबीआई ने 2,000 रुपये के नोट को सितंबर 2023 के बाद चलन से बाहर करने की शुक्रवार को घोषणा की। इस मूल्य के नोट को बैंकों में 23 मई से जाकर बदला जा सकता है। आरबीआई ने शाम को जारी एक बयान में कहा कि अभी चलन में मौजूद 2,000 रुपये के नोट वैध मुद्रा बने रहेंगे। आरबीआई ने बैंकों को 30 सितंबर तक ये नोट जमा करने एवं बदलने की सुविधा देने को कहा है। हालांकि, एक बार में सिर्फ 20,000 रुपये मूल्य के नोट ही बदले जा सकेंगे।
