दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने सोमवार को दावा किया कि केन्द्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) के अधिकतर अधिकारी उप मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी के पक्ष में नहीं थे, लेकिन उन्होंने राजनीतिक दबाव के कारण ऐसा किया। सीबीआई अधिकारियों ने 2021-22 की आबकारी नीति लागू करने में कथित भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर करीब आठ घंटे की पूछताछ के बाद रविवार को सिसोदिया को गिरफ्तार कर लिया था। यह नीति अब समाप्त की जा चुकी है।
केजरीवाल ने ट्वीट किया, मुझे बताया गया है कि सीबीआई के अधिकतर अधिकारी मनीष को गिरफ्तार करने के पक्ष में नहीं थे। वे सभी उनका बहुत सम्मान करते हैं और उनके खिलाफ कोई सबूत भी नहीं है। हालांकि उनकी गिरफ्तारी को लेकर काफी राजनीतिक दबाव था और उन्हें अपने राजनीतिक आकाओं के आदेश का पालन करना था।
सिसोदिया से पहले आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के नेता एवं दिल्ली के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन को पिछले साल जून में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। आम आदमी पार्टी का कहना है कि दिल्ली की शिक्षा तथा स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में आए व्यापक परिवर्तन में इन दोनों नेताओं की अहम भूमिका रही है। पार्टी की लोकप्रियता और निरंतर चुनावी सफलता में भी इनका योगदान रहा है।
