दिल्ली सरकार ने अप्रैल से जून के दौरान लोकसभा चुनाव और धार्मिक त्योहारों के मद्देनजर शुष्क दिवस घोषित कर दिए हैं। अधिकारियों ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। आबकारी विभाग द्वारा जारी एक आदेश में कहा गया है कि दिल्ली में शराब की दुकानें ईद-उल-फितर (11 अप्रैल), राम नवमी (17 अप्रैल), महावीर जयंती (21 अप्रैल), बुद्ध पूर्णिमा (23 मई) और ईद-उल-जुला (17 जून) को बंद रहेंगी। विभाग ने कहा कि सभी लाइसेंसधारी अपने लाइसेंस प्राप्त परिसर के किसी विशिष्ट स्थान पर शुष्क दिवस का आदेश प्रदर्शित करेंगे। हाल ही में जारी एक अधिसूचना में, विभाग ने कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश के बागपत, गाजियाबाद और गौतमबुद्धनगर में लोकसभा चुनाव के कारण 24 अप्रैल शाम 6 बजे से 26 अप्रैल शाम 6 बजे तक (मतदान समाप्ति के 48 घंटे पहले) शुष्क दिवस रहेगा।
विभाग ने कहा कि यह उन सभी लाइसेंसधारियों पर लागू होगा जिनकी दुकानें/परिसर उत्तर प्रदेश के बागपत, गाजियाबाद और गौतमबुद्ध नगर जिलों की सीमा के 100 मीटर के अंदर स्थित हैं। एक अन्य अधिसूचना में आबकारी विभाग ने कहा कि दिल्ली की सात लोकसभा सीट पर मतदान के मद्देनजर राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में विभिन्न प्रकार की शराब की दुकानें और अन्य लाइसेंस प्राप्त परिसर 23 मई की शाम 6 बजे से 25 मई की शाम 6 बजे तक (मतदान समाप्ति के 48 घंटे पहले) बंद रहेंगें। अधिसूचना में कहा गया है कि दिल्ली में शराब की दुकानें चार जून (पूरे दिन) को भी बंद रहेंगी।
