दिल्ली में लू की स्थिति जारी है और रविवार को न्यूनतम तापमान सामान्य से एक डिग्री अधिक 25.8 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) ने यह जानकारी दी। आईएमडी के अनुसार, राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में रविवार को अधिकतम तापमान 43 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। उन्होंने कहा कि सापेक्ष आर्द्रता का स्तर 61 प्रतिशत रहा। मौसम विभाग ने अलग-अलग स्थानों पर गरज के साथ बारिश और आसमान में आंशिक रूप से बादल छाए रहने की संभावना जताई है। आईएमडी के बुलेटिन में कहा गया है कि अगले तीन दिनों तक दिल्ली और आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में लू की स्थिति जारी रहने की उम्मीद है, जबकि हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़ और दिल्ली में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर दो मई तक धूल भरी आंधी या गरज के साथ छींटे पड़ने की संभावना है।
इसने कहा कि दिल्ली में 72 साल में दूसरी बार अप्रैल में ऐसी भीषण गर्मी पड़ी है जिसमें मासिक औसत अधिकतम तापमान 40.2 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहा। आम तौर पर अप्रैल में शहर का सामान्य मासिक औसत तापमान 36.30 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहता है। वर्ष 2010 में, दिल्ली में औसत मासिक अधिकतम तापमान 40.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में अप्रैल में तीन दिन बेहद भीषण गर्मी पड़ी क्योंकि समय पर हल्की बारिश नहीं हुई। दिल्ली में पिछले साल अप्रैल में मासिक औसत अधिकतम तापमान 37.30 डिग्री सेल्सियस, 2020 में 35.30 डिग्री सेल्सियस और 2019 में 37.30 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था।
