प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने कैंसर की नकली दवाओं का उत्पादन और बिक्री करने वाले गिरोह से जुड़े धनशोधन मामले की जांच के तहत दिल्ली-एनसीआर (राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र) में कई स्थानों पर सोमवार को छापेमारी की। आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी। संघीय एजेंसी ने कुल 10 स्थानों पर छापे मारे और दो स्थानों से लगभग 65 लाख रुपये नकद बरामद किए। सूत्रों ने बताया कि दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा ने कैंसर और कीमोथेरेपी दवाओं के उत्पादन और उनकी दिल्ली-एनसीआर के कुछ अस्पतालों में बिक्री में कथित रूप से शामिल एक संगठित आपराधिक गिरोह की जांच के लिए मामला दर्ज किया है।
प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने इसी मामले का संज्ञान लेते हुए धनशोधन का मामला दर्ज किया। छापेमारी के दौरान विफिल जैन, सूरज शत, नीरज चौहान, परवेज मलिक, कोमल तिवारी, अभिनय और तुषार चौहान समेत मुख्य संदिग्धों और उनके सहयोगियों के परिसरों पर छापे मारे गए। सूत्रों ने बताया कि कुल नकदी में से 23 लाख रुपये एक आरोपी के घर में रखे एक ‘बीन बैग’ से बरामद किए गए।
