दिल्ली आबकारी नीति 2021-22 में कथित अनियमितताओं से जुड़े धनशोधन मामले में दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को हिरासत में लेने के लिए प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) द्वारा उन्हें शुक्रवार को विशेष पीएमएलए (धन-शोधन निवारण अधिनियम) अदालत में पेश किए जाने की संभावना है। आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक 55 वर्षीय केजरीवाल को संघीय जांच एजेंसी ने राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के सिविल लाइन्स इलाके में फ्लैगस्टाफ रोड स्थित उनके आधिकारिक आवास से बृहस्पतिवार रात को गिरफ्तार कर लिया था। चिकित्सकों समेत चिकित्सा कर्मियों के एक दल को मध्य दिल्ली स्थित प्रवर्तन निदेशालय के कार्यालय में सुबह के समय प्रवेश करते देखा गया, जहां केजरीवाल को गिरफ्तारी के बाद रखा गया है। ऐसा समझा जाता है कि निदेशालय ने केजरीवाल को अदालत में ले जाने से पहले उनकी चिकित्सकीय जांच के लिए चिकित्सा कर्मियों को बुलाया था। प्रवर्तन निदेशालय केजरीवाल पर जांच में लगातार ‘असहयोग’ करने का आरोप लगाते हुए और शराब नीति में कथित अनियमितताओं से उनकी पार्टी का संबंध और उनकी व्यक्तिगत भूमिका का पता लगाने के लिए अदालत से उन्हें 10 दिन की हिरासत में भेजने का अनुरोध कर सकता है।
ऐसी संभावना है कि एजेंसी अदालत से यह भी कहेगी कि बीआरएस (भारत राष्ट्र समिति) की नेता के. कविता समेत अन्य गिरफ्तार आरोपियों और गवाहों का केजरीवाल से आमना-सामना कराए जाने की आवश्यकता है। केजरीवाल के वकीलों द्वारा इसका विरोध किए जाने की संभावना है। उन्होंने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय की कार्रवाई को ‘अवैध’ बताया था। प्रक्रिया के अनुसार, एजेंसी रिमांड संबंधी कागजात तैयार करने से पहले गिरफ्तार व्यक्ति से संक्षिप्त पूछताछ भी करती है, जिसे उसकी हिरासत के अनुरोध के लिए अदालत के समक्ष रखा जाता है। इस बीच, एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम रोड स्थित ईडी कार्यालय एवं मुख्यमंत्री के आधिकारिक आवास के आसपास सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई है और दिल्ली पुलिस एवं केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बल (सीएपीएफ) के जवानों ने अतिरिक्त अवरोधक लगाए हैं। ईडी के आरोप पत्र में केजरीवाल के नाम का उल्लेख कई बार किया गया है। एजेंसी का आरोप है कि आरोपी आबकारी नीति बनाने के लिए केजरीवाल के संपर्क में थे। यह नीति बनाने और इसे लागू करने के लिए आप पर रिश्वत लेने का आरोप है। इस मामले में अब तक कुल 16 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है और ईडी ने छह आरोप पत्र दाखिल किए हैं।
