नई दिल्ली। जीएसटी परिषद ने शनिवार को लेबल वाले मोटे अनाज के आटे पर पांच प्रतिशत कर लगाने का फैसला किया। वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने यह जानकारी दी। आटे को पैक करके उस पर लेबल लगाकर बेचने पर जीएसटी लागू होगा। ऐसा आटा, जिसमें कम से कम 70 प्रतिशत मोटे अनाज हों, उसे खुला बेचने पर शून्य प्रतिशत जीएसटी लागू होगा, लेकिन पैक करके और लेबल लगाकर बेचने पर पांच प्रतिशत जीएसटी लगेगा।
केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री की अध्यक्षता में और राज्यों के समकक्षों की मौजूदगी में हुई 52वीं जीएसटी परिषद की बैठक में जीएसटी अपीलीय न्यायाधिकरण (जीएसटीएटी) के अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों की अधिकतम आयु सीमा तय करने का भी निर्णय लिया गया। इसके तहत जीएसटीएटी अध्यक्ष की अधिकतम आयु 70 वर्ष और सदस्यों की अधिकतम आयु 67 वर्ष होगी। इससे पहले यह सीमा क्रमश: 67 वर्ष और 65 वर्ष थी। परिषद ने शीरा पर जीएसटी को 28 प्रतिशत से घटाकर पांच प्रतिशत करने और मानव उपभोग के लिए बनी शराब को लेवी से छूट देने का भी फैसला किया।
