कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता पी चिदंबरम ने मणिपुर में हुई हिंसा का हवाला देते हुए शनिवार को कहा कि कर्नाटक के मतदाताओं को ‘डबल इंजन’ की सरकार के झूठे वादों से सावधान रहना चाहिए। चिदंबरम का यह बयान मणिपुर में आदिवासियों और बहुसंख्यक मेइती समुदाय के बीच हुई हिंसा के मद्देनजर आया है। इस संघर्ष में 9,000 से अधिक लोग अपने गांवों से विस्थापित हुए हैं। हिंसा प्रभावित मणिपुर में संघर्ष को रोकने के लिए सेना और असम राइफल्स के जवानों को तैनात किया गया है।
चिदंबरम ने ट्विटर पर कहा, “मणिपुर में ‘डबल इंजन की सरकार’ के परिणामों को देखिए। दोनों इंजन फेल हो गए हैं। आंतरिक कलह से राज्य सरकार टूट चुकी है। केंद्र सरकार के पास सभी मुद्दों के लिए खुशफहमी फैलाने वाले उपाय मौजूद हैं। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री ने दावा किया, नतीजा यह है कि मेइती और आदिवासी समुदायों के बीच खाई चौड़ी हो गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि जो समुदाय कांग्रेस की सरकारों के दौरान शांतिपूर्ण सह-अस्तित्व की राह पर थे, वे अब युद्ध के रास्ते पर हैं। चिदंबरम ने कहा, कर्नाटक के मतदाताओं को (भी) डंबल इंजन वाली सरकार के झूठे वादों से सावधान रहना चाहिेए। कर्नाटक विधानसभा की 224 सीटों के लिए मतदान 10 मई को होगा और मतगणना 13 मई को होगी।
