नई दिल्ली। पूर्वी दिल्ली के विवेक विहार में बच्चों के एक अस्पताल में आग लगने से सात नवजात शिशुओं की मौत हो गयी। अधिकारियों ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। दिल्ली अग्निशमन सेवा (डीएफएस) के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि शनिवार रात शाहदरा क्षेत्र के विवेक विहार में बच्चों के एक अस्पताल में आग लग गई। डीएफएस प्रमुख अतुल गर्ग ने बताया कि 12 शिशुओं को अस्पताल से निकाला गया लेकिन उनमें से सात की मौत हो गई। गर्ग ने बताया कि पांच शिशुओं का एक अन्य अस्पताल में इलाज किया जा रहा है।
एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी ने बताया कि ‘बेबी केयर न्यू बोर्न हॉस्पिटल’ और उससे सटी एक इमारत में शनिवार देर रात करीब साढ़े 11 बजे आग लगी। अन्य लोगों की मदद से बच्चों को अस्पताल से बाहर निकाला गया और दूसरे अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। उन्होंने बताया कि दूसरे अस्पताल ले जाने पर छह शिशुओं को मृत घोषित कर दिया गया जबकि एक नवजात की इलाज के दौरान मौत हो गयी। शिशुओं के शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए जीटीबी हॉस्पिटल ले जाया गया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि अस्पताल के मालिक की पहचान नवीन किची के तौर पर की गयी है और उसके खिलाफ कार्रवाई शुरू की जा रही है।
