रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड (आरआईएल) के चेयरमैन मुकेश अंबानी ने सोमवार को कहा कि रिलायंस जियो की 5जी सेवाओं ने दुनिया में सबसे तेज शुरुआत की है और कंपनी इस साल दिसंबर तक इसे पूरे देश में पहुंचाने के लिए सही राह पर है। रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज के निदेशक मंडल की 46वीं आमसभा (एजीएम) में अंबानी ने कहा कि जियो की 5जी सेवाएं इस साल दिसंबर तक पूरे देश में उपलब्ध होंगी। देश में पांच करोड़ से अधिक लोग जियो के 5जी नेटवर्क का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। इस तरह 5जी के मामले में जियो अपनी अन्य प्रतिद्वंद्वी कंपनियों से आगे है। इस मौके पर उन्होंने ‘जियो एयर फाइबर’ को 19 सितंबर यानी ‘गणेश चतुर्थी’ के दिन पेश करने की घोषणा भी की। अंबानी ने कहा, एक करोड़ से अधिक परिसर हमारी ऑप्टिकल फाइबर सेवा जियो फाइबर से जुड़े हैं। अब भी लाखों परिसर ऐसे हैं जहां वायर कनेक्टिविटी देना मुश्किलों भरा है। जियो एयर फाइबर इस मुश्किल को आसान करेगी। इसके जरिये हम 20 करोड़ घरों और परिसरों तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद कर रहे हैं। जियो एयर फाइबर के आने से हर दिन जियो 1.5 लाख नए ग्राहक जोड़ पाएगी।
जियो का ऑप्टिकल फाइबर ढांचा पूरे भारत में 15 लाख किलोमीटर तक फैला हुआ है। ऑप्टिकल फाइबर पर ग्राहक औसतन प्रति माह 280 जीबी से अधिक डेटा का उपयोग करते हैं, जो जियो की प्रति व्यक्ति मोबाइल डेटा खपत से 10 गुना अधिक है। आम सभा में ‘जियो ट्रू 5जी डेवलपर प्लेटफॉर्म’ और ‘जियो ट्रू 5जी लैब’ को जारी करने की घोषणा भी की गई। अंबानी ने कहा, हम एक ऐसा मंच बना रहे हैं जो भारतीय उद्यमों, छोटे व्यवसायों और प्रौद्योगिकी स्टार्टअप के डिजिटल दुनिया के साथ मेलजोल के तरीकों को बदल देगा। उद्यमों की जरूरतों को ध्यान में रख कर जियो ने 5जी नेटवर्क, एज कंप्यूटिंग और एप्लिकेशंस को मिलाकर एक व्यापक मंच बनाया है। उन्होंने कहा, दूसरी आरे ‘जियो ट्रू 5जी लैब’ में हमारे प्रौद्योगिकी भागीदार, उद्योगों को लिए विशिष्ट समाधानों का विकास, परीक्षण और सह-निर्माण कर सकते हैं। यह रिलायंस कॉरपोरेट पार्क नवी मुंबई में स्थित होगा।
