नई दिल्ली। मध्य दिल्ली के तीन मूर्ति भवन में सुरक्षा ड्यूटी पर तैनात भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) के 31 वर्षीय एक जवान ने अपनी सर्विस राइफल से रविवार को कथित तौर पर खुद को गोली मारकर आत्महत्या कर ली। अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कांस्टेबल वाई रेड्डी तड़के पांच बजे मृत पाया गया और उसकी इंसास राइफल उसके पास पड़ी थी। रेड्डी कर्नाटक का रहने वाला था और दो सप्ताह पहले ही 30 दिन की छुट्टी के बाद ड्यूटी पर लौटा था।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कांस्टेबल के बिस्तर से एक कथित सुसाइड नोट बरामद हुआ है, जिसमें उसने अपनी पत्नी और ससुर पर उसे मानसिक रूप से परेशान करने का आरोप लगाया है। जवान का पिछले साल अक्टूबर में विवाह हुआ था। चीन के साथ लगती वास्तविक नियंत्रण रेखा (एलएसी) की रक्षा करना आईटीबीपी की मुख्य जिम्मेदारी है। इसके अलावा आईटीबीपी की कई इकाइयों को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी समेत देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में कानून-व्यवस्था संबंधी ड्यूटी के लिए तैनात किया जाता है।
