नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली नगर निगम (एमसीडी) ने सोमवार को जामिया नगर में बटला हाउस के पास बुलडोजर का इस्तेमाल कर अवैध ढांचों को हटाने के लिए अभियान चलाया। इस दौरान भारी पुलिस बल की मौजूदगी रही। वाहन चालकों ने अभियान के चलते इलाके में यातायात जाम होने की शिकायत भी की। निगम अधिकारियों के अनुसार, कर्मचारियों द्वारा किए गए निरीक्षण में पाया गया कि सरकारी भूमि पर अतिक्रमण कर कई अवैध ढांचे बनाए गए हैं, जिसके बाद तोड़-फोड़ अभियान चलाया गया। निगम के एक अधिकारी ने कहा, ”इन अवैध ढांचों को हटाने के लिए तोड़-फोड़ अभियान चलाया गया।
अभियान के दौरान झोंपड़ियों और खोखे सहित स्थायी और अस्थायी संरचनाओं को हटाया गया। इस बीच, कई यात्रियों को ओखला रोड, जाकिर नगर मेन रोड, बटला हाउस चौक, कालिंदी बाईपास रोड पर यातायात जाम का सामना करना पड़ा, जिसे लेकर उनका दावा है कि अतिक्रमण हटाने के अभियान के कारण जाम लगा। स्थानीय निवासी खालिद मोइन ने कहा, ”पहले भी इस तरह के कई अभियान चलाए गए थे लेकिन यह पहली बार है जब पुलिस ने क्षेत्र की सड़कों को अवरुद्ध कर दिया। यातायात की सुचारू आवाजाही के लिए कोई वैकल्पिक योजना नहीं थी और अभियान के कारण स्कूल बसों और एम्बुलेंस सहित अन्य वाहन जाम में फंस गए।
