एमसीडी ने प्रारंभिक चरण में पश्चिम क्षेत्र के 10 वार्ड में एक पायलट परियोजना चलाई, जिसमें तीन समर्पित संग्रह स्थल स्थापित किए गए। बयान में कहा गया है कि इस पहल के उल्लेखनीय परिणाम मिले, जिससे मलबे के अवैध निपटान में 46 प्रतिशत की उल्लेखनीय कमी आई है। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इसका विस्तार करते हुए एमसीडी वर्तमान में लगभग 100 ऐसे संग्रह बिंदु स्थापित करने की प्रक्रिया में है।
