विपक्षी दल समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा), कांग्रेस, राष्ट्रीय लोकदल (रालोद) और सत्तारूढ़ दल भाजपा के सांसद वरूण गांधी ने भी राशन कार्ड सत्यापन दिशानिर्देशों को लेकर उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए आरोप लगाया कि चुनाव हो जाने के बाद उसने गरीबों का परित्याग कर दिया। अखिलेश यादव के नेतृत्व वाली पार्टी सपा ने ट्वीट किया, गरीबों को राशन से वंचित करने की यह भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) की नई तरकीब है। उसने गरीबों के वोट लेकर सत्ता हथियायी। अब सरकार को वादे के मुताबिक उन्हें पूरा राशन देना चाहिए।
कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता सुप्रिया श्रीनेत ने आरोप लगाया कि हाल के विधानसभा चुनाव के दौरान मुफ्त राशन का लगातार जिक्र करने वाली यह सरकार अब तथाकथित ‘अपात्र’ लोगों को इस लाभ से वंचित करने के लिए ‘बकवास’ दिशानिर्देश लागू कर रही है। उन्होंने जानना चाहा कि क्या राशन कार्ड के वितरण के समय मान्य मापदंड उसे बांटे जाने के बाद बदले गये और यदि राशन कार्ड गलत लाभार्थियों के हाथों में चले गये तो सरकारी अधिकारियों के विरूद्ध कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं की जानी चाहिए।
भाजपा सासंद वरूण गांधी ने कहा, यदि आम आदमी के जीवन को प्रभावित करने वाले सभी मापदंड चुनाव को देखते हुए तय किये जायेंगे तो सरकार अपनी विश्वसनीयता गंवा बैठेगी। उन्होंने ट्वीट किया, ”चुनाव से पहले पात्र एवं बाद में अपात्र। वह उत्तर प्रदेश के उस कथित दिशानिर्देश पर प्रतिक्रिया दे रहे थे जिसमें अपात्र कार्डधारकों को अपना कार्ड लौटाने अन्यथा राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा कानून, 2013 के तहत कार्रवाई के लिए तैयार रहने की चेतावनी दी गयी है। रालोद ने आरोप लगाया कि गरीबी का मापदंड बदलकर भाजपा सरकार राज्य में गरीबों की दयनीय दशा का मजाक उड़ा रही है।
