नागालैंड के उपमुख्यमंत्री वाई पैटन ने बुधवार को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू से मुलाकात की है। इस मुलाकात में पैटन ने राज्य के लोगों की तरफ से राष्ट्रपति को शुभकामनाएं दीं और उन्हें राज्य की ताजा स्थिति से अवगत कराया। पैटन नागालैंड में भाजपा के प्रमुख नेता हैं और नागा मुद्दों पर अपनी राय खुलकर जाहिर करते हैं। वे इस समय दिल्ली दौरे पर हैं जहां उन्हें अहम बैठकों में हिस्सा लेना है।
पैटन ने ट्वीट करके कहा कि मैं राष्ट्रपति भवन में भारत की माननीय राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू जी से मिलकर सम्मानित महसूस कर रहा हूं और उन्हें भारत के सर्वोच्च पद पर काबिज होने वाली पहली आदिवासी महिला राष्ट्रपति बनने बनने पर राज्य के लोगों की तरफ से बधाई दी है। राष्ट्रपति जी पूरी तरह से प्रेरक व्यक्तित्व और और विनम्रता का प्रतीक हैं। पैटन ने कहा, हमने विभिन्न मुद्दों पर राष्ट्रपति जी से विस्तृत चर्चा की। पैटन ने कहा हमारी बैठक एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक थी जिसने नागालैंड के लोगों की चिंताओं सहित तमाम मुद्दों पर बात हुई। मुलाकात में राष्ट्रपति ने चुनाव के दौरान उनकी उम्मीदवारी को अटूट समर्थन देने के लिए राज्य के लोगों का भी हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त किया।
