रेलवे संपत्ति की चोरी के मामले आरपीएफ के समक्ष रेलवे संपत्ति (गैरकानूनी कब्जा) कानून के तहत दर्ज किए जाते हैं। यह रेलवे कानून, 1989 के तहत सुरक्षा प्रदान करता है। रेलवे ने बताया कि एक महीने का विशेष अभियान एक से 31 अक्टूबर के बीच चलाया गया। इसने बताया, अभियान के दौरान 289 मामलों में कानून की गिरफ्त से बाहर 319 अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार कर संबंधित अदालत में पेश किया गया। इनमें 52 ऐसे अपराधी भी शामिल हैं जो पिछले 10-15 साल से फरार थे।
