वहीं, भाजपा पार्षद पंकज लूथरा ने आरोप लगाया कि यह आप की गलती थी जिससे बवाल हुआ। पंकज, स्थायी समिति चुनाव में एक उम्मीदवार हैं। स्थायी समिति के छह सदस्यों के लिए चुनाव प्रक्रिया सुबह करीब 11 बजे शुरू हुई और दोपहर 2:30 बजे संपन्न हुई। चुनाव संपन्न होने के दस मिनट बाद मतगणना शुरू हुई। जो दो घंटे से अधिक समय तक चली। महापौर शैली ओबेरॉय ने सदस्यों से कहा कि परिणाम अवैध वोट के बिना घोषित किया जाएगा। जिसका भाजपा सदस्यों ने विरोध किया। इसके बाद सदन में हंगामा शुरू हो गया और भाजपा व आप के पार्षद भिड़ गए।
