उच्चतम न्यायालय ने महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे के नेतृत्व वाले गुट की उस याचिका पर बुधवार को सुनवाई करने पर सहमति जताई, जिसमें मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे के गुट को असली शिवसेना के तौर पर मान्यता देने और उसे ‘तीर-कमान’ चुनाव चिह्न आवंटित करने के निर्वाचन आयोग के फैसले को चुनौती दी गई है। ठाकरे गुट की पैरवी कर रहे वरिष्ठ वकील कपिल सिब्बल ने प्रधान न्यायाधीश डी.वाई. चंद्रचूड़ और न्यायमूर्ति कृष्ण मुरारी एवं न्यायमूर्ति पी.एस. नरसिम्हा की पीठ के समक्ष मंगलवार को इस मामले का जिक्र किया। सिब्बल ने प्रतिवेदन में कहा, ईसी (निर्वाचन आयोग) के आदेश पर यदि रोक नहीं लगाई जाती है, तो वे चिह्न और बैंक खाते अपने कब्जे में ले लेंगे। कृपया इसे संविधान पीठ के समक्ष कल के लिए सूचीबद्ध कीजिए।
शीर्ष अदालत ने कहा कि उसे मामले की फाइल पढ़ने की जरूरत है और उसने मामले की सुनवाई को बुधवार अपराह्न साढ़े तीन बजे के लिए स्थगित कर दिया। निर्वाचन आयोग ने शिंदे के नेतृत्व वाले गुट को शुक्रवार को असली शिवसेना के रूप में मान्यता दी थी और उसे दिवंगत बालासाहेब ठाकरे द्वारा स्थापित अविभाजित शिवसेना का ‘तीर-कमान’ चुनाव चिह्न आवंटित करने का आदेश दिया था।
