दिल्ली की जल मंत्री आतिशी ने रविवार को कहा कि उन्होंने हरियाणा द्वारा राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में मुनक नहर के जरिए ‘अपर्याप्त’ मात्रा में पानी छोड़े जाने पर चर्चा के लिए उपराज्यपाल वी के सक्सेना के साथ एक आपात बैठक का समय मांगा है। मंत्री ने सोशल मीडिया मंच ‘एक्स’ पर एक पोस्ट में लिखा कि दिल्ली को इस नहर से 1,050 क्यूसेक पानी मिलना चाहिए, लेकिन यह घटकर केवल 840 क्यूसेक रह गया है। उन्होंने कहा, दिल्ली के माननीय उपराज्यपाल से आपात बैठक के लिए समय मांगा है ताकि हरियाणा द्वारा मुनक नहर से अपर्याप्त पानी छोड़े जाने के बारे में उन्हें अवगत कराया जा सके।’
मंत्री ने कहा, दिल्ली को सीएलसी और डीएसबी उप-नहरों के माध्यम से मुनक नहर से 1,050 क्यूसेक पानी मिलना चाहिए लेकिन यह घटकर 840 क्यूसेक हो गया है। सात जल शोधन संयंत्र इस पानी पर निर्भर हैं। अगर पानी की मात्रा आज नहीं बढ़ती है तो एक या दो दिन में पूरी दिल्ली में जल संकट और गहरा जाएगा।’ बढ़ते तापमान के बीच दिल्ली को पानी की कमी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा, माननीय उपराज्यपाल केंद्र सरकार के प्रतिनिधि हैं। उनसे हस्तक्षेप करने और स्थिति को सुलझाने का अनुरोध किया जाएगा।
