दिल्ली के होलांबी कलां रेलवे स्टेशन पर एक महिला ने अपने दो नाबालिग बच्चों के साथ चलती ट्रेन के सामने कथित रूप से छलांग लगा दी। पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि घटना दोपहर करीब 2.13 बजे की है और मौके से कोई सुसाइड नोट नहीं मिला है। पुलिस के मुताबिक, महिला की उम्र 30 से 35 साल के बीच थी, जबकि उसका एक बच्चा पांच वर्ष का और दूसरा दस महीने का था। पुलिस उपायुक्त (रेलवे) हरेंद्र के सिंह ने कहा, “हमें रेलवे सुरक्षा बल के नियंत्रण कक्ष से कथित आत्महत्या के बारे में सूचना मिली। एक जांच अधिकारी को मौके पर भेजा गया और उन्होंने पटरी पर एक महिला एवं उसके दो बच्चों को मृत पाया।
सिंह के अनुसार, तीनों कथित तौर पर अमृतसर इंटरसिटी ट्रेन के आगे कूद गए और उसकी चपेट में आकर कट गए। मृतकों की पहचान करने के प्रयास जारी हैं। उन्होंने कहा, “शवों को सब्जी मंडी मुर्दाघर भेज दिया गया है। सिंह के मुताबिक, पूछताछ के दौरान ट्रेन चालक ने खुलासा किया कि महिला अपने बच्चों के साथ ”जानबूझकर” पटरी पर कूद गई। पुलिस ने बताया कि ट्रेन को रोका नहीं जा सका, क्योंकि यह 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से दौड़ रही थी।
