राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में शराब पर भारी छूट की पेशकश के चलते चालू वित्त वर्ष में दिल्ली से उत्तर प्रदेश में शराब की तस्करी करने के आरोप में करीब 70 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। आबकारी विभाग के एक अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक आबकारी विभाग के अधिकारियों ने एक अप्रैल से अब तक 10,000 लीटर से अधिक अवैध शराब और 20 से अधिक वाहनों को जब्त किया है, जिनमें ज्यादातर दुपहिया और निजी कारें हैं। गौतम बौद्ध नगर के आबकारी अधिकारी राकेश बहादुर सिंह ने कहा कि दिल्ली की नयी आबकारी नीति के बाद से नोएडा के रास्ते दिल्ली से उत्तर प्रदेश में शराब लाने के मामलों में तेजी आई है। दिल्ली की नयी आबकारी नीति नवंबर 2021 में लागू की गयी थी जिसके तहत शराब की कीमतें लगभग आधी हो गई हैं।्र
राकेश बहादुर सिंह ने पीटीआई-भाषा से कहा, ”इस गतिविधि से उत्तर प्रदेश की राजस्व आय पर असर पड़ता है और राज्य के खजाने को नुकसान होता है। उन्होंने बताया कि एक अप्रैल से सात जून तक नोएडा के सेक्टर 14ए, अशोक नगर, कोंडली, झंडूपुरा और कालिंदी कुंज में झरझरा सीमा के जरिए दिल्ली से उत्तर प्रदेश में शराब की तस्करी करते हुए 68 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। अधिकारी ने कहा कि इस अवधि के दौरान भारत निर्मित विदेशी शराब और देशी ब्रांडों सहित 10,056 लीटर शराब जब्त की गई, जबकि दुपहिया और कारों सहित कुल 23 वाहनों को जब्त किया गया।
सिंह ने कहा, इन 68 लोगों में से 62 को जेल भेज दिया गया है जबकि शेष छह को बरी कर दिया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि अंतरराज्यीय तस्करी में लिप्त लोगों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने को लेकर उत्तर प्रदेश का आबकारी विभाग बहुत ही स्पष्ट है। उन्होंने कहा, वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 में जिला आबकारी विभाग ने इस साल महज दो महीने में करीब 70 की तुलना में 173 लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजा था। सिंह ने कहा, ”उत्तर प्रदेश की सीमाओं पर 27,000 लीटर से अधिक अवैध शराब जब्त की गई और पिछले साल 28 वाहन जब्त किए गए।
