दिल्ली और राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र के कई हिस्सों में शुक्रवार को हल्की बारिश हुई, लेकिन अधिकतम तापमान 44.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया, जो इस मौसम के हिसाब से चार डिग्री सेल्सियस अधिक है। इससे पहले मौसम विभाग ने धूल भरी आंधी चलने के साथ ही हल्की बारिश या बूंदाबांदी तथा आंशिक बादल छाये रहने का अनुमान व्यक्त किया था। मौसम विभाग का अनुमान है कि पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के कारण राष्ट्रीय राजधानी तथा इससे सटे इलाकों में 26 मई तक लू नहीं चलेगी। मौसम विभाग ने कहा था कि अगले सप्ताह तक अधिकतम तापमान 38 डिग्री से 40 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहने के आसार हैं।
मौसम विभाग ने बताया कि दिल्ली में शनिवार और रविवार को बिजली चमकने और धूल भरी आंधी चलने या गरज के साथ छींटे पड़ने का अनुमान है। यहां शुक्रवार को बादल छाये रहने तथा हल्की बारिश के आसार हैं। मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक दल्लिी में 24 मई को अधिकतम तापमान गिरकर 37 डिग्री सेल्सियस से नीचे आने का अनुमान है। दिल्ली में गुरुवार को अधिकतम तापमान 43.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था, जो सामान्य से तीन डिग्री सेल्सियस अधिक था, जबकि न्यूनतम तापमान 27.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया था, जो सामान्य से एक डिग्री सेल्सियस अधिक था। मौसम विभाग ने कहा, 20 से 24 मई के दौरान उत्तर-पश्चिम और पूर्वी भारत में बारिश होने का अनुमान है।
