नकली पुलिसकर्मी बनकर वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के कीमती सामान चुराने के आरोप में यहां सराय काले खां इलाके से चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। अधिकारियों ने शनिवार को यह जानकारी दी। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि उनके पास से उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस, बिहार पुलिस और भारतीय सेना के बैज वाली तीन टोपी बरामद हुई हैं। पुलिस ने बताया कि आरोपियों की पहचान महाराष्ट्र के अंबेवाली निवासी निसार मिश्किन सैय्यद (38) और देवबंद के निवासियों इकबाल (27), सलमान अली (27) और शब्बीर अली (20) के रूप में हुई है।
पुलिस ने बताया सैय्यद गिरोह का सरगना है और मुंबई में दर्ज एक मकोका और नागपुर में दर्ज धोखाधड़ी और डकैती के चार मामलों में वांछित था। पुलिस उपायुक्त (अपराध) राजेश देव ने बताया कि बृहस्पतिवार को पुलिस को इंद्रप्रस्थ पार्क, सराय काले खां के पास गिरोह की गतिविधियों की सूचना मिली थी और वहीं से चार सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। उपायुक्त ने कहा कि पूछताछ के दौरान आरोपियों ने खुलासा किया कि पुलिसकर्मी बनकर दो सदस्य वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को निशाना बनाते हैं और उन्हें जांच के बहाने अपने आभूषण उतारने के लिए कहते हैं।
पुलिस ने बताया, इसके बाद वह गहनों को एक कागज के पैकेट में बांध देते थे और असली आभूषण वापस करने के बजाय पीड़ित को उसी तरह के पैकेट में नकली आभूषण सौंप देते थे। पुलिस ने बताया कि गिरोह आभूषण की दुकानों के कूरियर को भी निशाना बनाता है और स्वयं को अपराध शाखा और सीबीआई अधिकारी के रूप में पेश कर जांच के बहाने लूटपाट करता है।
