दिल्ली सरकार ने बुजुर्गों के लिए मुख्यमंत्री तीर्थ यात्रा योजना को शुरू करने का ऐलान किया था जिसका शुभारंभ कल यानी 14 फरवरी से फिर बहाल होने जा रही है और श्रद्धालुओं को लेकर एक ट्रेन गुजरात के द्वारकाधीश जाएगी। कोविड-19 के बढ़ते मामलों के मद्देनजर जनवरी के पहले सप्ताह में यह तीर्थ यात्रा योजना रोक दी गई थी।
दिल्ली सरकार की तीर्थ यात्रा विकास समिति के अध्यक्ष कमल बंसल ने बताया कि दिल्ली से 1,000 बुजुर्ग श्रद्धालुओं को लेकर द्वारकाधीश जाने वाली ट्रेन को सोमवार शाम सात बजे सफदरजंग रेलवे स्टेशन से हरी झंडी दिखाई जाएगी। रामेश्वरम के लिए एक अन्य ट्रेन 18 फरवरी को रवाना होगी।
कोविड संक्रमण के मामले बढ़ने के बीच जनवरी में मुख्यमंत्री तीर्थ यात्रा योजना रोक दी गई थी। बंसल ने कहा कि हम अन्य तीर्थ स्थलों के लिए ट्रेन की घोषणा भी कर सकते हैं, क्योंकि रेलवे हमें ट्रेन की उपलब्धता के बारे में सूचित कर सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकांश वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की मांग रामेश्वरम और द्वारकाधीश के लिए थी। रामेश्वरम के लिए करीब 15,000 और द्वारकाधीश के लिए 7,000 आवेदन लंबित हैं।
