दिल्ली पुलिस ने कहा कि उसने कथित रूप से नफरत भरे बयान फैलाने एवं धार्मिक भावनाएं आहत करने को लेकर एआईएमआईएम प्रमुख असदुद्दीन ओवैसी और विवादास्पद पुरोहित यति नरसिंहानंद समेत 31 लोगों के विरूद्ध जो मामले दर्ज किये हैं, उस सिलसिले में वह सोशल मीडिया कंपनी को नोटिस जारी करना शुरू करेगी। दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा की मीडिया इकाई के पूर्व प्रमुख नवीन कुमार जिंदल और पत्रकार सबा नकवी दर्ज प्राथमिकी में नामजद 31 लोगों में शामिल हैं। जिंदल को पैगंबर मोहम्मद के विरूद्ध कथित टिप्पणियां करने को लेकर पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया गया है।

इसी तरह के आरोपों को लेकर भाजपा की पूर्व प्रवक्ता नुपुर शर्मा पर एक अन्य मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस ने बुधवार को कहा था कि सोशल मीडिया पर उनकी सामग्री का विश्लेष्ण करने के बाद दो प्राथमिकियां दर्ज की गई हैं। एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी ने कहा, हम मामलों की जांच के सिलसिले में सोशल मीडिया कंपनी को नोटिस जारी करना शुरू करेंगे। उसी हिसाब से आगे जांच की जाएगी।
